The ACBL Board of Directors

A District Director is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL).  Service to this Board of Directors is similar to service on any other Board of Directors of a major organization: the Board helps to set policy for the broad goals of the entire organization.  In that the ACBL is a non-profit membership organization, serving the needs of the membership should be the highest priority of the organization.

With 25 districts in North America (including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Bermuda, and the Virgin Islands), the ACBL's Board of Directors works to provide a voice for its membership regardless of geographical location.  District Directors serve both the local needs of the district they represent and the overall needs of the membership at large.
